Positano – Lesson and Wine Tasting
Spend a glorious day in Positano exploring the local food and wines of the Campania region. Your host and instructor, Peter, is a trained chef whose roots lie in Positano: he comes from a local family of fishermen, but his English is perfect (his mother is British). Join him for a casual and fun evening spent preparing and enjoying food together. You will sample local cheeses, olive oil, and bread; you will prepare seasonal dishes with produce harvested from their own garden or acquired from local organic growers; you will taste it all with a selection of white and red wines from their extensive cellar dedicated to small-production wineries that preserve the tradition of family-run vineyards. Snack while you are cooking, then sit down for the main meal on the patio (weather permitting). Your hands-on class will last about four and a half hours, including the meal, and is offered in the late afternoon/evening with dinner.
