Prosecco Cooking Tours Trip Highlights
One of the highlights of our Prosecco cooking vacations in the Veneto is the beautiful villa hotel in which you stay. You will feel like you are at home in the beautiful family-run villa. You will also enjoy the hands-on cooking classes that will introduce you to Veneto cuisine with the chef’s own unique flair, combining flavors of northern and southern Italian gastronomy.
Itinerary
A sample itinerary for our Fine Dining Prosecco cooking tours follows, but please note that the specific activities can change based on season and dates booked. Similarly, the cooking classes will be based on seasonal dishes.
Day One
- Arrival at Villa Abbazia on your own and settle into your accommodations. (Transfers may be arranged/included for an additional cost).
- Enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel’s casual restaurant, La Cantinetta (beverages not included).
- Overnight.
Day Two
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- This morning, time on your own to explore or shop. Take a walking or biking tour; the hotel’s receptionist will be at your disposal and will provide a full itinerary and map; every difficulty level is available.
- This afternoon, your first cooking lesson with the chef, followed by dinner based on your efforts at the hotel’s restaurant (beverages not included).
- Overnight.
Day Three
- Following breakfast, your morning will be dedicated to discovering Venetian and Italian products, starting with the famed Prosecco wine. You will be driven into the hills on the Prosecco wine road to discover one of the most prestigious wine cellars with a guide at your side. Wine degustation will follow, and will include such wines as Prosecco and Cartizze.
- Lunch will be a regional experience such as a “spiedo” (meat roasted on a spit) or lunch at a local osteria.
- In the afternoon, your second cooking lesson with the chef for your cooking class. The meal might feature ancient Venetian cuisine of the Doges, which may include asparagus of Cimadolmo, artichokes of S. Erasmus, mushrooms, and beans of Lamon. Dishes will depend on the time of year.
- Tasting dinner tonight at the hotel restaurant with the dishes prepared during the lesson (beverages not included).
- Overnight.
Day Four
- Breakfast and check out of your accommodations.

The Villa is housed in a 17th century building in the historic center of Follina in the province of Treviso.
