Greece Culinary Vacations and Foodie Tours

Relaxing at the beach during your Greek cooking vacation.Journey to a small farm opposite the island of Poros, home to one of our best-selling Greece culinary vacation, a Greek Cooking Odyssey, for a chance to experience authentic life on a Greek farm while exploring Greek cuisine during hands-one cooking classes.

The farm is located on mainland Greece just a few minutes from the small, charming port village of Galatas. Over the past couple of years your hosts, chef Katerina and her daughter chef Dora, and their family have been renovating the buildings on their farm to create a series of apartments, cottages, and luxury tents that would allow guests to experience an ideal and relaxed beach location while exploring the flavors of Greek cuisine during our Greece culinary vacations.

The olives groves at the farm during your Greek cooking vacation. The farm is located amid a large grove of olive trees on the Peloponnese coastal mainland. The island of Poros (actually an island pair) is located just across the narrow, 200 meter channel. The farm is an ideal location to get away from it all in a quiet and beautiful location.

The area is perfect for a Greece foodie tour, and it also offers great venues for walking, cycling, swimming, and snorkeling, as well as other water and self-guided activities. It provides easy access to Poros and the other Saronic islands such as Hydra, Aegina, and others.

A day at the beach during your Greek cooking vacation. The ancient Greeks used herbs and spices to flavor and preserve their food, and since then Greeks have been employing oregano, rosemary, thyme, not to mention garlic and lemons, to enhance the flavors of their food. Fish and seafood of course are abundant, as is the fresh local produce.

One of the hallmarks of Greek cuisine is olive oil, as are the olives themselves, which you will explore during your Greek farm odyssey. Taste the olive oil from the farm, use it in your Greek cooking classes, and learn why it’s one of the quintessential staples of Greek cuisine.

But the best part of your Greek farm odyssey? You will be welcomed like family and invited to live the authentic, warm, and relaxed life of the Greeks.
